Established in 1928, The ASC XC Training Center is a non-profit winter sports facility located on Donner Summit. ASC operates a 25km cross country trail system open to the public, with options for day tickets, season passes, equipment rental, and lessons. At 7,200 feet, ASC’s trails are traditionally the first to open and last to close in the area, and offer sweeping views of Castle Peak and Donner Summit. With a diverse array of terrain, it’s the perfect place for both recreational skiers and competitive racers. As the premier competition venue on the west coast, ASC hosts multiple races each season, with past competitions including NCAA National Championships, Junior National Championships, and Junior Olympics. The ASC XC Training Center also offers teams for all ages and skill levels in the disciplines of Alpine Ski, Biathlon, Nordic Ski, and Snowboarding. It is one of the few combined multi-discipline venues in the United States.
